26th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL GUINNESS BLUES ON THE BAY FESTIVAL 2025 IN WARRENPOINT!
WARRENPOINT GEARS UP FOR A BLISTERING BANK HOLIDAY BLUES WEEKEND
The picturesque town of Warrenpoint is once again preparing to welcome some of the world's finest blues and jazz performers for the much-anticipated 26th International Guinness Blues on the Bay Festival, taking place from 21st to 27th May 2025.
Now celebrating an incredible 26 years of top-tier music, the 2025 festival proudly features Ireland’s greatest jazz and blues vocalist, Mary Coughlan, as the headline act.
Sponsored by Diageo Northern Ireland, the award-winning festival draws thousands of music-loving locals and international visitors each year, establishing itself as one of the most prominent music events on the calendar.
With over 70 free performances, jam sessions, and workshops packed into a seven-day celebration, music lovers can expect a feast of blues and jazz talent from around the world and closer to home.
This year's stellar lineup includes renowned acts such as: AJA (playing the music of Steely Dan), CrowBlackChicken, The Pat McManus Band, Ronnie Greer, The Sabre Jets, Ken Haddock, Cathal Murphy, Reverend Doc & The Flying Squad, and The Bluez Katz Blues Band.
Additional highlights include a three-day Artisan Food and Craft Market, a special BBC Radio Ulster broadcast with Ralph McLean, and performances from blues circuit regulars such as Chris Chalmers (Freedom 35’s), Banshee, Andy Whittaker, Willie Byrne, The Backbone Blues Band, Tony Villiers, Allison McGrath, and many more.
Festival goers can also look forward to blues jam sessions and a guitar workshop, providing the perfect platform for emerging talent to shine.
