Aja

Aja, taken from the classic and iconic Dan album is an 8 piece musical powerhouse of a band whose members have over 40 years experience in the business. They replicate in incredible detail the original recordings of the Legendary Steely Dan. Aja have been performing these classic songs for over 13 years and have grown accustomed to packed houses of music lovers of all ages and genres.  Original guitar, brass, keyboard solos and vocal harmonies are as true as can be to the originall album recordings. Their 2 hour set generaly consists of the entire Aja album in the first half and is a sight and sound to behold.

Tommy Moore; Bassist / Vocalist

Tommy Moore has been playing bass and singing in bands since the 1970's. He hails from a family of famous Irish and now internationally renowned musicians ; Butch Moore, Des Moore, (The premier session guitarist in Ireland since the 1960's), his daughter Gwen has a Phd in Music Education, his nephew Paul Moore, bassist and MD with Van Morrison, his grand nephew, Jake Curran, guitarist with Niall Horan.  He has been involved with artists and bands such as ; The Vampires , The Strangers, Stagalee, a founder member along with Errol Walsh and Don Baker in The Business, played bass on Paul Brady's first electric album ''Hard Station'', Played bass on the Johnny Logan Eurovision winner ''What's Another Year'' Played bass in the original Irish production of ''Jesus Christ Superstar'', The Fleadh Cowboys, Mary Coughlin, Christy Moore, Bill Whelan (Riverdance), Ronnie Drew, Philip Donnelly, Scullion,( Balance and Control, Prod. John Martyn), Jimmy Faulkner, Mick Pyro.  He has done numerous studio and RTE sessions as a backing vocalist. Currently plays bass with As Steely Dan tribute band "Aja"

Colm Lindsay

Colm Lindsay is a professional guitarist from Co. Wexford and joined AJA in late 2017. He is endorsed by Victory Amplifiers on their Artist roster, which includes players such as Robben Ford and Guthrie Govan. He has recorded with/performed with a variety of artists across different genres, including Keith Carlock (Steely Dan, Sting, John Mayer) State Cows (Jazz rock from Sweden), Rachel Grace (pop/soul singer) Nathan Carter (Decca Records Country Artist) and currently has 2 Million YouTube Channel views. Colm has performed on several TV shows (BBC Children in Need, RTE’s Late Late Show, UTV, Ray D’Arcy Show) and currently tours with several acts as well as teaching privately and recording remotely/in studio.

Sinead Stone: Vocalist with Aja

Sinead comes from a traditional singing background.  She works mainly as a ceremony singer and featured with, The Cafe Orchestra, on their album, Topaz, singing Moon River and a Dick Farrelly song, Man of the Road.  She has worked as a session vocalist for several singer songwriters including a number of successful album releases and concerts for the folk musician/songwriter Colum Sands.  She has also performed on a couple of occasions at, The Rostrevor International Folk Festival along with live performances on RTE, BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Wales.Sinead along with musician Gerard Farrelly released the highly acclaimed album, Legacy Of a Quiet Man, a collection of songs by one of Ireland’s best well known songwriters, Dick Farrelly who wrote such songs as, If You Ever Fall In Love Again, The Isle of Innisfree, We Dreamed Our Dreams, Cottage By the Lee and Annaghdown.  The album led to several radio and television appearances including, TG4, The Late Late Show, The Afternoon Show and a feature on RTE’s Nationwide programme.

Serge Stavila

Serge was born in 1964 Chisinau Moldova (Eastern Europe). From the age of 8 he attended music school class for clarinet. At 15 he was invited to attend the National Music College. In 1988 he graduated the National Institute of Art of Moldova, earning a degree in conducting brass and symphony orchestra’s. Along with the degree he was studying saxophone as his class instrument.

From 1985-1992 he travelled the former USSR republics as a session musician with various pop and rock bands. Regularly performed in major cities like Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kiev, Minsk, Alma-Ata, Murmansk, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk and many others.
He came to Ireland in 1993 and lived in Co. Clare playing music and soaking up the rich heritage of the Irish music scene. In early 1994 he moved to Dublin where he began to teach saxophone and wind ensemble in the Newpark Music Centre. In 2004 he was working on the movie set tutoring actor “Andie McDowell” (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Green Card, Groundhog Day, etc) whom Serge was teaching clarinet for the Irish movie “Tara Road”.
Serge has performed on records with artists such as Sinead O’Connor, Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club and Paul Hourican Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) Down ‘n’ Outz solo project. Also performed live with with Bronagh Gallagher and Jack L. For the last 20 years he is a member of world renowned Irish Soul Band The Commitments. Performed in Europe, Middle East, Asia, Australia, USA and Canada. He released critically acclaimed two of his solo albums - “Sketch” (2000) “Project Balkanica” (2016)

Gerard Farrelly:

Gerard is a multi instrumentalist.  He’s the son of Dick Farrelly, an internationally acclaimed songwriter whose songs have been recorded by many artists both in Ireland and abroad.  Dick is best known for his worldwide hit song, The Isle of Innisfree, theme of the film, The Quiet Man.

As a keyboard player, drummer or cellist Ger has played/recorded with bands and artists across different genres some of which include, The Legendary Hoods Blues Band, The Wilf Brothers, The Mary Stokes Blues Band, Declan Nerney, Linda Martin, Paul Harrington, Barry J Hughes, The Naked Lunch, Doctor Millar, Tommy Keyes, Colum Sands, Rob Strong and Siobhan MacGowan.  He also plays drums and piano In, Bone Machine, a Tom Waits tribute band.

He worked as musical director with the Irish Children’s Theatre Company and composed music for an Andrew’s Lane Theatre production of the W.B. Yeats play, The Land of Hearts Desire.  He contributed soundtrack music for the BBC/RTE television drama, Redwater, and has worked as a session musician on many well known television and radio jingles.  In the classical genre he has been a member of the cello sections for the, UCD Symphony Orchestra and the Dublin Orchestral Players.

Gerard along with singer Sinead Stone released their highly acclaimed album, Legacy Of a Quiet Man, an album of songs written by his father.  The album was the subject of the RTE documentary programme, Nationwide.  He’s currently working on original celtic/classical style music for a future album release.  Ger is a founding member of and plays keyboards with the Steely Dan tribute band, “Aja”.

Mark Wilde - Saxophonist

As one of the most sought-after saxophonists and clarinettists in Dublin, Mark has performed in many of Ireland's leading concert halls and venues. He has worked regularly with the RTE Concert Orchestra , Irish Film Orchestra , BBC Ulster Orchestra and has performed on many Recordings, Concert and TV programmes. A recent highlight for Mark was performing and recording with Grammy Award winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling for The Chamber Music Project written by Brian Byrne.

Mark's saxophone and clarinet playing has recently featured on National Lottery commercials , Michael Flately's - 'Celtic Tiger' , Katie Melua's - 'Piece By Piece' , Celtic Woman -  'A Christmas Celebration' and live on RTE Radio 1 with Imelda May.

A particular passion of Mark's is Big Band and Jazz music , he is the band leader and founder of well known Dublin Jazz Orchestra - The Hot House Big Band and he also occupies the Lead Alto position with many of Ireland's Big Bands . They include the Paul Dunlea , Dave Gold , Jim Doherty and Brian Byrne Big Bands.

Mark is also a member of Dublin band 'Aja' and he is a busy performer on the Irish wedding and corporate scene.

John Graham

John is a professional singer, recording studio owner, engineer and producer at Holly May Studios Kells Co.Meath.  He has played with many successful bands from the 70s to the present day such as Oddwish, The Soul Doctors, Shush, Hothouse Big Band/Swingband, Aja to name but a few.  He has appeared on BBC, UTV, TV3, RTE and is still in huge demand as a solo entertainer to this day.
