Hat Fitz & Cara Robinson

One of Australia’s festival favourites and perennial showstopper Hat Fitz is now joined on stage by Northern Ireland’s critically acclaimed vocalist extraordinaire and multi instrumentalist Cara Robinson on drums, washboard, flute and tin whistle. What started out for Hat as a two week “look about the island” in the late 90's has, over the years, evolved into a 100 plus show tour of all major cities and festivals.

Warrenpoint's highly regarded “Blues on the Bay Blues Festival” for example has asked Hat to return for the last 5 years straight. Cara, a respected singer and songwriter in her own right has worked with a wide range of notable artists including David Holmes, Corinne Bailey Rae, Rhiana and Jamiroquai, as well has her own band “Cara Robinson and the Bad Habits” before joining forces with Hat in late 2008 for what has become one of the world's most interesting and musically appealing combinations. Recent performances in 2009 saw the duo play a total of 81 shows including some of the world’s most prestigious festivals across England, Ireland, France and Scotland to packed houses , before returning to Australia for the 6 week “Beauty and the Beast” tour of the east coast, once again to enthusiastic legions of stunned fans and rave reviews.
